DJODJO
HIS STORY
Djodjo is the youngest member of Akatia's family. Born in September 2019, he arrived in 2020 after being confiscated from a large illegal trafficking network by the authorities. He spent 3 days in a wooden crate, without light, before being taken in by Akatia. When he arrived, he didn't react. For 15 days, Sarah, his auntie who took him in, had to sleep, eat and shower with him, for Djodjo to regain a taste for life, as he was unfortunately letting himself die.
Since meeting his new family of chimpanzees at the AKATIA sanctuary, he has become a veritable "whirlwind", the terrible child, and Hawa, the group's dominant, had to take him under her wing to protect him.
Due to his young age, Djodjo is in a crucial learning phase among his peers, especially as he's already starting to forge his own character, and despite his silly antics, he's definitely not going to let anyone walk all over him in the future!
Fun fact about Djodjo : he loves to drop branches on the heads of the caretakers and then looks at us as if nothing had happened!
